At Benson's Café, family has always been at the heart of everything we do. As a proud family-owned and family-run business founded in Parkhead in 1986 we've had the privilege of serving Glasgow and building lasting relationships with generations of customers who have become part of the Benson's family.
Today, we're proud to call six cafés our home—two within The Forge Shopping Centre, two in The Forge Market, one in Rutherglen and, most recently, our newest café in Clarkston, which opened at the beginning of this year.
At the heart of Benson's is a passion for traditional, home-cooked food made with care. From our proper breakfasts served all day to much-loved lunchtime favourites such as our macaroni cheese and chips, homemade chips with stew gravy and our comforting lentil soup, every dish is prepared with the same attention to quality and flavour that our customers have come to know and love.
Many of our signature accompaniments, including our stew, stew gravy, soups and cheese sauce, are made in-house, while our square sausage and burgers are made using premium meats sourced from Lennons and Rodgers — two of Glasgow's best local butchers. And exclusive to our Clarkston café? Home made gelato crafted with care.
As for the little ones? We designed our kids' menu to give younger guests the opportunity to enjoy their own Benson's favourites while being part of the same welcoming experience.
Although we've expanded over the years, one thing has never changed. Every Benson's Café is still guided by the same family values, personal service and genuine care that have defined us for generations. Whether you're visiting us in Glasgow’s East End, Rutherglen or Clarkston, for breakfast, lunch, brunch, or gelato you'll always receive the same friendly welcome, comforting food and familiar atmosphere that have made Benson's a trusted name throughout Glasgow. Reservations
Bensons is first and foremost a walk-in cafe — everyone's welcome, any time, no booking required. If you're planning a bigger get-together, though, we're happy to take reservations for parties of six or more. Just call your chosen location directly to make your booking
